iCafé
The smart card solution for Internet and PC access management

iCafé comes with so many advantages:

  • If your customers have time remaining on their card, they will be able to use it again in your cafe.

  • Customers can buy cards for later use.

  • Customers can buy cards ahead of time, and give them away as gifts (like a gift certificate).

  • Customize your system to create rewards for your customers. (For example: When the time on the smart card runs out, the software can be set up to pop up an alert to inform the user to return their smart card and receive a complementary item. This insures that the cards are returned for reuse.)

    Time remaining notification

  • The Internet user can click on the iCafé icon, located in the lower right of the PC interface, to view the time remaining on the smart card
  •  
  • A time remaining notification box can be set up to automatically appears letting the user know how much Internet or PC access time they have remaining on the smart card.
  •  
  • When there is 60 seconds remaining on the smart card, an alert box will appear notifying the user. The user then will be given the option to keep working, or to HOLD their work, while they buy more time.
  •  
  • When the user time expires, a box will read, "Your time has expired. Please see attendant for additional information." (This text can be customized to say whatever you'd like)

    Advertising/Marketing opportunities

  • Software can be programmed to pop up an advertisement window every time a customer logs on. This pop up "Welcome Box" can be set up to contain promotional information.

    Demographic information gathering feature

  • Create a customer database. The first time that the inserts the card to start using the PC, they can be prompted to enter demographic information. (For example: Ask them for their name, e-mail address, etc.) The information can be used in the future to contact your customers about specials or new items. This feature can be turned on or off using the iCafé Manager Software.

  • The iCafé system runs with minimum privileges, so that the user cannot access the control panels or change the PC settings.

    The iCafé Card Manager in the iCafé Manager Software is used to reset/reload the iCafé cards. The screen displays the individual card data, which can be directly modified for each card. Or you can input default settings that will automatically reset each card.
