FAP40 (Fingerprint Acquisition Profile) level is part of the PIV-071006 specification. Mobile ID devices of FAP 40 and below can request an independent PIV certification. Requesting both certifications at the same time shortens the duration of the dual assessment when compared to two sequential requests.
