Originally developed for the US Department of Defense, Unity is the ultimate handheld, mobile biometric identity solution for governments, law enforcements, and military applications worldwide. Unity captures, enrolls and verifies multiple biometric modalities, including fingerprints (live and latent), dual iris, frontal face, and voice. All biometric sensors are built to ISO standards to ensure product interoperability and high quality ISO compliant images every capture.
Unity’s rugged and durable casing houses a robust Windows 7 computer with a fast SSD capable of handling any ID requirement. Pre-installed on Unity is Corvus Raven™ Identity Management Software which provides full-function identification and matching capability. The software also enables biometric/biographic data enrollment and streamlined data exporting in standard data formats.
Unit features widespread, unparalleled networking capabilities (4G HSPA+, WiFi, and GPS). The reliable wireless connectivity in any location aids Unity’s real-time cloud and identity server interaction, real-time video analytics, including facial recognition, and on board “Persons of Interest” management and notifications. The combined features make Unity ideal for ID applications that require instant, real-time decision making, such as border crossings, national ID programs, traffic stops, and dynamic checkpoints.
Advanced Passport and ICAO MRTD Validation
The ultimate handheld identity solution for ePassports and multi-modal biometrics is created when Unity is combined with PassCheck™ ID Credential Validation Software from CardLogix and the Unity Passport Scanner/ Reader that mounts directly on Unity.
Offered as an optional add-on, PassCheck for Unity™ validates all standard ICAO MRTDs (Machine Readable Travel Documents), from passports to border crossing ID1 cards. The software instantly reads credential data from the chip, decrypts the data based on the BAC standard, and then validates the digital signature against certificates from each country to ensure credential and data integrity. PassCheck leverages the power of biometrics with Unity to compare newly captured biometrics against the biometrics stored in the credential’s smart card chip to reliably authenticate the credential against the presenter’s identity. Optional watchlist and PEP (Politically Exposed Person) compliance modules are also available for applications in Healthcare, National ID, Law Enforcement and Gaming markets.
