The affordable and easy-to-use system helps restaurants and food retailers to achieve compliance with the FDA’s new regulation on menu labeling.
In order to get ready for the upcoming FDA regulation, restaurant chains and food establishments with more than 20 points of sale will need to clearly display nutritional information on menu boards for prepared foods. Edikio price tag solution not only facilitates compliance with the regulation, but also provides you a professional brand image with clear and esthetic signage. Compared to the manual lamination of paperboard cards used by many, the instant printing on plastic cards saves time and is much more hygienic, as cards can be washed and reused many times. A new affordable and innovative solution now exists in the market.
DESKTOP PRINTERS CUSTOMIZE AND PRINT PRICE TAGS ON PLASTIC CARDS
The three solutions from Evolis enable grocers, supermarkets and restaurant managers to create their own price tag design and print them in a few seconds.
All Edikio solutions are comprised of card design software, a card printer as well as blank plastic cards and a print ribbon, which are compliant for food contact compatibility according to US Chapter 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations (FDA).
Price tags can thus be created at any time, directly at the point of sale, individually or in batches.
Evolis offers three solutions adapted to the needs of all food retailers:
Edikio Access, the affordable solution for single-sided card printing in credit card format for small volumes.
Edikio Flex, the flexible solution for printing price tags in long format as well as credit card format to fit different display needs.
Edikio Duplex, the advanced solution for double-sided and high-volume card printing. The reverse side allows for the display of information dedicated to the sales staff.

Seaside Market in California has bought a system for its meat, seafood, cuisine and catering department.
