ACS launches ACR100 SIMFlash into the world market

March 24, 2006 — ACR100 combines the power of a smart card reader and a flash drive. It is designed to access SIM-sized smart cards (Plug-in cards) and to store data or application software. It is ideal for GSM solutions such as GSM management software and VoIP applications, electronic payment systems, home banking, computer/network access and transportation. The first version of ACR100 has built-in 256MB flash.

i) As a Plug-in (SIM-sized) Card Reader, ACR100 is a PC/SC smart card reader. It supports MCU cards with T=0 and T=1 protocols and GSM cards conforming to Spec 11.11.

ii) As a mass storage device, ACR100 is bus powered – no need for additional cable and power supply. The ACR100 is Mass Storage Device Class compatible – no need for additional drivers in win2000 & XP.
