EXTON, Pa. (April 2, 2008) — Datastrip Inc., a world-leading provider of field-proven mobile identification and verification technology, has joined forces with Codebench to offer the latest in FIPS 201-compliant ID card verification. By integrating its software into Datastrip’s DSV2+TURBO®, Codebench now offers the PIVCheck Mobile and PIVCheck Plus Mobile systems for PIV, TWIC and FRAC cardholder verification, and enrollment into physical access control systems at government and military installations. PIVCheck Mobile provides a hardware and software solution with Ethernet, WiFI and optional GSM connectivity for cardholder validation of PIN, fingerprint biometric and certificates. It validates certificates in real time by performing Internet-based queries from the DSV2+TURBO to compare them to an OCSP Responder, Certificate Authority or TSA Hot Lists.

PIVCheck Plus Mobile offers the same features and adds the ability for automated enrollment into compatible Physical Access Control Systems (PACS). Once an ID card is verified, the PIVCheck Plus software automatically transmits the card’s data wirelessly from the DSV2+TURBO to the PACS. Also available is PIVCheck Certificate Manager that revalidates the imported card certificates. This tool revalidates certificates on a periodic basis to ensure continued validity and can automatically suspend a PACS badge associated with a revoked certificate.

“Integrated with Datastrip’s DSV2+TURBO, Codebench’s PIVCheck software provides a much-needed link between the credential and physical access control system, allowing users to quickly validate and manage credentials,” said Geri Castaldo, chief executive officer of Codebench. “The DSV2+TURBO’s flexible development platform and reliability made it a natural choice for this mobile solution.”
