MUNICH, Germany, 18 January, 2020 – Matica Technologies AG will introduce a new direct-to-card printer line, ‘MC310’, at Intersec 2020, the world’s leading security, safety, and fire protection show being held at the Trade Centre Arena, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai (UAE), from 19 to 21 January.
The new MC310 product line will complement Matica’s comprehensive product portfolio with four new direct-to-card printers to cover all vertical markets. The first printer model, the MC310 being introduced at Intersec 2020, is a 300dpi high-resolution printing quality card printer with all encoders available for security ID applications in various markets including government, corporate, transportation and education.
A new lamination module, the ‘MC-L2’ is specially designed for this new generation of direct-to-card printers converts the MC310 as the perfect choice for those applications where a long-lasting card and additional visual security elements such as holographic images are required.
The industry’s most comprehensive consumables program, Matica’s chromXpert, gets a boost with new ribbons such as the security ribbon YMCKSc for additional visual security for direct printers, making cards issued by the MC310 much more secure and tamper resistant with the additional variable-reflecting “Sc” ink panel. This allows the ability to add information in the form of a watermark. In addition, new ribbons like the half-panel color ribbon optimizes cost per printed card and a complete number of monochrome ribbons are also added to the chromXpert program.
“We are delighted to launch a complete new family of direct-to-card printers, the MC310 platform, at Intersec 2020” said Ricard Ferrer, VP Global Marketing and Product Management, Matica Technologies AG. “The new Matica MC310 direct-to-card printer offers a superior print quality and a complete line of encoding, lamination and communication options which converts the MC310 into the most flexible and reliable direct-to-card printer platform on the market”.
Easy to integrate
MC310 follows Matica’s standard architecture MDM (Matica Desktop Module) and can be combined with different modules (laminators, laser engravers) to offer a scalable solution, which grows with customers’ needs while securing their investment.
“System integrators will appreciate the MC310 card printer since it is very easy to integrate” continued Ferrer “Its versatility provides a solution to all vertical markets that need to run card issuance programs which require reliable and consistent high-quality direct-to-card printing.”
MC310 will be available through Matica’s global partner network beginning mid-March 2020.
Matica will launch three additional models belonging to the MC310 Series, focused on high-security, finance and self-service applications respectively within the year 2020.
