SUMMARY
The Software Engineering is responsible for the engineering activities for CardLogix with a focus in customer development applications, improve CardLogix software and hardware, development of new CardLogix applications and participate with New Product Introduction (NPI) process for the company. The engineer will be responsible for the quality and reliability of our software performance and hardware compatibility with our software. The engineer will also lead the compatibility of our production equipment with Smart Cards and biometric solutions and software from customers or new projects. Computer languages for which the engineering will interact will be C, C++, C#, JAVA, Android and newer software for which our customer might apply such as Python, etc…

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the NPI list of activities and provide timeline for their completion
  • Evaluate and provide timelines for customer engineering requirements
  • Provide sales and management direction of feasibility of customer requests
  • Develop software applications for customer requests and production requirements for smart card encoding
  • Lead improvements to the product development process to result in on-time introduction of products to the market
  • Selects & approves foreign and domestic vendors to support CardLogix products and components
  • All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work requested that falls within the qualification but not specifically described
  • Manage outside engineering vendors and or contractors performing tasks for CardLogix when necessary


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (computer science) or other Engineering degrees
  • 3+ years experience in a progressively responsible computer science and or software development
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in C, C++, C#, JAVA, and Android programming languages
  • Knowledge and understanding of Smart Card applications
  • Exceptional project management skills, and excellent communication and negotiating skills are essential to the position
  • Superb analytical skills, forward thinking, ability to conceptualize plan/vision and execute accordingly
  • Capabilities to articulate their vision and implement it
