Description

The ACOS3 is ACS’s third generation of Microprocessor Smart Cards utilizing their exclusive ACOS Smart Card operating system unlocks the potential of a smart card. The ACOS3 is specifically designed for secure payment applications as well as loyalty programs, logical access control, parking registration, public transportation, telecommunication and e-Purse applications. Likewise, it may be utilized for closed-loop payment solutions. ACS also offers various card customization options such as inclusion of magnetic stripe, signature panel and others.

The ACOS3 smart card comes with 32K or 72K bytes of EEPROM memory. Backwards compatible with all earlier ACOS2 and ACOS3 cards, it supports 3 volt operation and PPS speed negotiation. Additionally, the security provided by ACOS3 may be further enhanced by utilizing the ACOS6-SAM. When used with the ACOS6-SAM, the security features of the ACOS3 for Mutual Authentication, Secure Messaging, Key Diversification and Key Injection are fully maximized.

The ACOS3 is available in Contact, Combi (dual-interface) and Contactless Interfaces.
