Description

Evolis Avansia is the premium retransfer printer for high definition cards that are issued in medium to high volume. Its retransfer technology enables true over-the-edge printing with high resolution (600 DPI) images for superior quality ID cards, payment cards, driver licenses, and more. Avansia can print on multiple card materials, including PVC, PET, polycarbonate, ABS, and cards with uneven card surfaces. Contact and contactless smart card encoding is made easy with embedded smart card encoders and CardLogix Card Encoding Engine™ ID card personalization software. The printer is built with maximum endurance in mind, enabling cards to be issued intensively with a 3-year standard warranty and lifetime warranty on printheads. It operates exceptionally fast at a rate of up to 140 single-sided color cards per hour. Due to the high capacity feed and output trays (250 card each) and high capacity consumables, cards can be printed in batches without interruptions. To ensure that only authorized personnel access the printer, Avansia features an RFID key, mechanical key lock, and security slot (Kensington® type).

High Quality Printing

Avansia’s retransfer technology (reverse transfer) delivers eye-catching results with the printing of high resolution images (600 DPI) and the ability to print high security graphics, such as micro-text and watermarks. Images and text are printed to the retransfer film which completely covers the card for true over-the-edge printing. Evolis High Trust® consumables further enhance printing and card quality.

Multiple Card Media

Unlike direct-to-card technology, which allows the printhead to come into direct contact with the card’s surface, Avansia Retransfer technology prints on the retransfer film which enables printing on multiple card types. Common card materials include PVC, PET, polycarbonate, ABS, and even those with uneven card surfaces.

Ideal for Printing on Contact Smart Cards

Retransfer technology enables impressive printing on uneven card surfaces, which makes it most suitable for printing on contact smart cards that contain embedded smart card chips, such as CardLogix M.O.S.T. Card® C5 and C7 contact smart card series.

Smart Card Encoding with Avansia and Card Encoding Engine™

Contact and contactless smart card encoding on Avansia is drastically simplified with Card Encoding Engine™ ID card personalization software by CardLogix. Unlike other ID printer software, Card Encoding Engine enables a user to easily send data to their assigned folders in the microprocessor smart card chip without programming, scripts or custom APIs.

Avansia is exceptionally fast with an output of more than 140 cards per hour on a single-side with color printing. With the high capacity feed tray and output tray of 250 cards each and high capacity consumables (500 prints per roll), card issuers can produce cards in large runs without interruptions.
