Description

The HID OMNIKEY® 5321 is a dual-interface PC-linked reader that will read/write to both a 13.56 MHz RFID contactless smart card and virtually any contact smart card. The dual interface feature economically supports end-user environments where both contact and contactless smart card technology may be in use.

The OMNIKEY 5321 allows users to experience the convenience, speed, and security of contactless technology for applications including log-on to Windows®, networks, websites, and applications or the secure storage of user names, passwords, and personal information. The use of contactless smart card technology for PC-linked applications is limited only to your imagination!

The OMNIKEY 5321 is based on a 13.56 MHz contactless smart card RFID interface that is compliant with ISO specifications 14443 A and B and 15693.

The OMNIKEY 5321 v2 support all contactless cards, Passports and e-ID cards compliant to ISO 14443 A/B and ISO 15693 standard. Furthermore it can read write to NXP® MiFare® cards including MiFare Plus, MiFare
Desfire®, Java Card, MOST Card® and HID iCLASS. ISO 15693 tags like Infineon® my-D®, NXP iCode® and TI Tag-It® are also supported.

Virtually supports any kind of ISO 7816 compliant full size (ID-1) smartcard is supported in the contact slot. The protocols T=0, T=1 and extended APDU support are standard. Supports memory card protocols I²C, 2-wire and 3-wire such as Atmel and Microchip.

Support Microprocessor cards such as MOST Card® and Java Card.

Can read EMVCo CL 2.0 compliant contactless or EMVCo 2000 compliant contact cards.

Supports Ethernet Interface through USB-Ethernet adapter (included)
