Description

The ID5 is a highly secure desktop laser printer for medium to high volume laser engraving card personalization, that can be deployed either as a centralized unit or as part of a centralized solution. This solution is perfect for government agencies that issue secure ID cards or for banking documents. IXLA advanced technology brings the unprecedented quality and power of industrial laser engraving to the desktop in a stand-alone system. ID5 is provided with a web based software tools for full user control and systems logs. The ID5 comes with a wide range of options:

  1. XY Offset Registration
  2. Contact & Contactless Smart Card Encoder
  3. Magnetic Stripe (Read & Write)
  4. OCR Barcode Reader
  5. MLI (Multiple Laser Image) and CLI (Changeable Laser Image)

In a world that needs protecting more than ever, IXLA laser engraving desktop device targets professionals responsible for safeguarding national identity management. Designed to support government departments that manage in-branch or in-bureau card issuance, the ID5 is the perfect fit for applications such as drivers’ licenses, national IDs, visas and vehicle registration cards.

The ID5 allows parallel processing for maximized throughput: feeder encoder and/or barcode reading, with laser engraving capability, this device truly provides the best solution for secure credentials.  Multiple feeders allow several types of cards to be managed in one production line.

The ID5 relies on a robust 20W Fiber laser to achieve a printing resolution of 600 dpi. This allows capturing maximum details in the reproduction of ID pictures in gray scale. Integration of microtext as an extra anti-counterfeit measure is similarly feasible at this print resolution. This model’s printing method enables the addition of MLI (Multiple Laser Image) and CLI (Changeable Laser Image), tactile and non-tactile engraving. Laser security options further include offset registration, MRZ reading and a vacuum system. Magnetic stripe, as well as contact and contactless smart card encoding are similarly available.

Amazingly, it’s a one-stop-shop thanks to its single wire IP connectivity and the  Secure Controller so it’s easy to install and operate – no integration challenges. The solution’s own security features include various physical and electronic locks to prevent unauthorized access.
