CR79 cards are slightly smaller than CR80 and CR100 cards. CR79 cards measure 3.303 inches by 2.051 inches in size with rounded corners. These types of PVC cards are generally used for printing on most direct-to-card printers and are applied to proximity or technology cards (smart cards).
CR79 cards are designed to fit snugly into a protective clamshell, with many already having an adhesive back for additional security once in the clamshell. CR79 cards are mostly used for access control cards using RFID technology and are usually more durable in harsh outdoor environments.
