Green Bit Partner chosen to deliver the DactyScan84c to UNHCR

Grugliasco, April 20, 2015 ­‑ The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has awarded a framework contract to deliver further DactyScan84c to their Biometric Identity Management system (BIMS). The technology assists UNHCR to register, de-duplicate, and subsequently verify the identities of people of concern using their services, ensuring the right people receive assistance where and when its needed. The system captures and stores fingerprints, iris data and facial images of individuals, providing those who are often undocumented with their only personal identity record.

The contract will see to roll out the BIMS system to other locations across the world commencing in Thailand in 2015. The three year contract was secured after a competitive tendering process and includes technology services, on-going system maintenance and user training.
