SAN DIEGO, August 22, 2018 — The Telaeris XPID Series Handheld Badge Reader provides the capability to read any security badge from the convenience of a ruggedized Android device. With the XPID series handhelds, users can perform most physical access control functions were reading an RFID enabled proximity badge is required.

The XPID devices are delivered standardly with Android 7.0, a 5-inch Gorilla-glass screen, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, and 4G LTE. The devices can be delivered in a PDA form factor with the XPID100 and a pistol form factor with the XPID101. The XPID family provides options for high-resolution 1D and 2D barcode reading, an integrated Crossmatch Biometric fingerprint sensor, and NFC sensing technologies.

The XPID Series is standardly delivered with Telaeris’ dual frequency XPressProx reader, which is capable of reading all LF and HF type badges, including HID Prox, Indala, Casi-Rusco, iClass Legacy, SEOS, and many other badges. Other RFID options which may be provided are Farpointe, Legic, UHF, and Active RFID badge technologies, covering the full range of use cases.

The XPID devices combined with Telaeris’ XPressEntry software allows users to verify access and enroll visitors. Most importantly, the system integrates with all leading access control systems, providing the ability to account for employees during emergency events.
